Brushstroke Blue - Designer Cake

The design

Powder blue buttercream worked over with palette-knife strokes in deeper blue and white, a ring of blue and white piped rosettes, and macarons on top. Painted by hand, so the strokes fall differently every time.

Your cake base, pick one

• Salted Caramel Chocolate: chocolate sponge layered with homemade salted caramel and salted caramel buttercream, finished with Callebaut Belgian dark chocolate. Sweet with a savoury edge.
• The Locale (Pandan Gula Melaka): pandan sponge made with real pandan juice and coconut extract, gula melaka buttercream, homemade gula melaka sauce, coconut shavings.
• Lemon Poppyseed: citrus sponge with poppyseeds and a lemon cream cheese frosting. The lightest of the three.

Ingredients

Vanilla buttercream, homemade salted caramel buttercream, dairy, eggs, flour, caster sugar, cocoa powder, vanilla, fine salt, macarons, edible colouring, plus the ingredients of the base you choose.

Allergens

Wheat, dairy, egg, almond. Made in a kitchen that also handles nuts.

Keep it chilled, or in an air-conditioned room if you are serving within a couple of hours. Buttercream and Malaysian humidity are not friends, so keep it out of direct sunlight and out of a warm car boot.

Eat it on the day it arrives. That is when the buttercream is at its best.

How big is it?

Five inches across and six inches tall, roughly 1kg once the macarons are on. It suits an office celebration or a dinner at home. Feeding a bigger group? Princess Dream (7 inch) goes further, and our 2-tier cakes (4kg) cover 30 to 45 people.

Is this a baby shower cake?

It works for one, but it is not limited to one. The palette is painted rather than pastel-cute, so it reads just as well as a birthday cake for someone who loves blue, or a thank-you cake for a colleague.

Which cake base should I pick?

Three, chosen on this page before you add to cart. Salted Caramel Chocolate is chocolate sponge with homemade salted caramel and Callebaut Belgian dark chocolate. The Locale is pandan sponge with gula melaka buttercream and coconut. Lemon Poppyseed is citrus sponge with a lemon cream cheese frosting. The design does not change, so choose on flavour alone.

How much notice do you need?

Four hours. Order before 6pm and same-day delivery is free across KL, PJ and Selangor.

Can I add a message, candles or balloons?

All of it sits on this page before checkout: a printed message card, birthday candles, balloons and add-on macarons. For anything outside that, such as a name piped onto the cake, message us on WhatsApp and we will tell you what is possible for your date.
