Keep it in the fridge, between 2°C and 7°C, so the squares stay firm enough to pick up.

Eat it within a week of delivery, or freeze it for up to a month.

Serve it chilled or at air-conditioned room temperature.

What does burfi taste like?

Like a firm milk fudge. The milk burfi tastes of milk and ghee, the pistachio burfi is nutty, and the chocolate burfi tastes of dark chocolate and cocoa. You may also see it spelled barfi.

How sweet is it?

Milk leads. Full cream milk powder is the first ingredient, and the ghee gives each square a rounded, buttery finish. The pistachio squares taste of the nut, and the chocolate squares finish slightly bitter from the dark chocolate and cocoa. Have the milk and pistachio squares with masala chai, whose spice cuts through the richness, and the chocolate squares with black coffee.

What does it look like inside?

Each square is one colour and one texture all the way through, with no filling or layers.

How many pieces are in the box, and how many people does it serve?

25: 9 milk, 8 pistachio and 8 chocolate. That is enough for about 12 people at two pieces each.

What is in it, and does it contain nuts?
