Merdeka and Malaysia Day 2026 — orders, delivery and halal
When are Merdeka and Malaysia Day 2026, and when should I order?
Merdeka Day is Monday 31 August 2026, Malaysia's 69th, and Malaysia Day is Wednesday 16 September. Because Merdeka lands on a Monday, most offices hold their celebration on Friday 28 August instead. If that is your date, place the order by Thursday 27 August. For Merdeka Day itself, order by Sunday 30 August. For Malaysia Day, order by Tuesday 15 September.
Do you deliver on the public holidays themselves?
Yes, on both. We deliver across Kuala Lumpur and Selangor on 31 August and on 16 September, public holidays included. Choose your delivery date at checkout and pick a time slot that suits the office.
Is this collection for Malaysia Day as well?
Yes. The same range covers both national days — the flavours are Malaysian rather than Merdeka-specific, so nothing here stops working on 1 September. The Muhibbah Kuih Cake in particular was built for both, and the pandan gula melaka and ondeh-ondeh desserts are on the menu year-round.
Is everything halal certified?
Yes. Elevete Patisserie holds MS1500 halal certification and the whole kitchen operates under it,
so every cake, cupcake and dessert on this page is halal. Nothing here needs a separate check before
you send it round an office.
Which one is the actual Merdeka cake?
The Muhibbah Kuih Cake, at RM288. It is built around Malaysian kuih flavours — pandan, gula melaka
and coconut — and serves 20 to 30 people, which covers a normal floor. It needs one day's notice, so
it is not available for same-day delivery.
Do you have Merdeka cupcakes?
Yes. Mix and match boxes of 12 or 25 cupcakes, so a mixed office gets a choice rather than one
flavour everyone has to accept. Cupcakes are the easier option when people are eating at their desks
instead of gathering round a table, and they are same-day eligible when ordered by 6PM.
How many people will one cake feed?
The Muhibbah Kuih Cake serves 20 to 30. Cake bites and party bites come as 1.2kg boards, roughly
30 to 40 pieces, and are the simplest thing to put on a pantry counter because nobody has to cut them.
The Locale pandan gula melaka cake serves 10 to 12, and the 2-tier version serves 60 to 80 for a
larger floor.
Can you deliver to my office?
Yes, and office delivery is what most of these orders are. Give us the building name, floor and a
contact number at checkout. Our rider calls on arrival rather than leaving anything at reception
unattended, so nothing sits in a lobby getting warm.
Where do you deliver?
Free delivery across Kuala Lumpur and Selangor, including KLCC, Bangsar, Mont Kiara, Damansara,
Petaling Jaya, Subang Jaya, Shah Alam, Cyberjaya, Puchong, Cheras and Ampang. Putrajaya is covered
too.
Is delivery same-day?
Most items on this page are, if you order by 6PM. Two are not: the Muhibbah Kuih Cake and the
2-tier Locale cake both need a day's notice because they are assembled to order. If your date is
fixed, book it a day early and remove the risk.
How much does a Merdeka cake cost?
From RM78 for a dessert box, RM90 for a mini cake, RM120 for a full pandan gula melaka cake, and
RM288 for the Muhibbah Kuih Cake. Delivery is free, so the price you see is what the order costs.
Can I add a message or a Merdeka topper?
Yes. Add a message card at checkout and write the note there — useful when the cake arrives at an
office and you want people to know who it is from. Toppers are available on request; message us
before you order if you need something specific for the day.
