The Locale Cake (Pandan Gula Melaka)

Overall, the cake looks nice and with substance. The taste can be improved better by not making it too sweet.
Some commented that the green layer part is quite dry and not so fresh.

My 1st choice of cake always. Love the dense texture and rich pandan flavour.

This is definitely my favourite cake from Elevate..but this particular cake was slightly on the dry side..not as fresh as it usually is. But still a great cake!

Debated between the Strawberry Shiok Tart, Midnight Chocolate, and this- was very satisfied I chose the Pandan Gula Melaka. Everyone loved it.

The cake layer itself is dense and similar to a butter pandan cake, very moist and good texture. The pandan flavour was fresh, it was strong enough but not overwhelming. The gula melaka buttercream was just the right amount of sweetness. I can see why this is Elevate's most popular cake.

My only criticism is the gula melaka sauce on the top. That part is overly sweet. I'd like to suggest maybe adding a thin layer of the sauce in between the cake and buttercream to even out the sweetness, and then slight drizzle on top for decoration?

Either way, I'm satisfied with the cake.

Absolutely delicious! The Pandan Gula Melaka cake was soft, moist, and full of rich pandan and gula melaka flavour. My only suggestion is to reduce the sweetness slightly, as it would make the cake even more enjoyable. Highly recommended!

Texture of cake good. However, found the taste too sweet.

This time, the cake was a bit harder compared to the one i tried in in March.

Freshly baked and readymade. Very creamy and moist cake. It taste very sweet for some people. Loves decoration of the cake with pandan leaves make the cake became more aromatic with pandan aroma. Love it!

you will get 5 stars if a tad more generous with the gula Melaka source. So far i have already ordered 5 cakes - taste is consistent but more of the gula melaka will crown the taste well.

Today's cake is very dry and flaky and falling apart - this is a rare occasion that it did not turn out that well. The sugar content is also a bit high this time round. Slightly disappointed
